Anneke Chan
I was born and raised in the Hudson Valley, NY and am currently based in greater Boston, where I studied World Literature and Asian American Studies at Tufts University and Studio Art at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. My studio practice, which is rooted in global print culture and archives, is also influenced by studies abroad at the Facultad de Filología y Filosofía de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid and at Temple University Rome. I am interested in translating a sense of devotion and humanity into my creative practice, whether through print interpretations of multicultural family archives, playful sculptures, labyrinthine artist books, or observational sketches of everyday life. Beyond my personal studio practice, I am dedicated to supporting arts and educational accessibility in my community.
